Since its publication, in 1987, ISO 9001 has been a popular standard to implement. With that popularity has come a lot of non-sense “interpretations”, frequently from those people who have little or no experience of implementing a quality system or have even taken the time to open the document and actually read it.
In addition, the advent of certification (by a third party organization) has brought further myths - those created by auditors who are biased, lack knowledge and experience or are just plain incompetent.
This blog and its content is my attempt to bust many of the myths with practical, experience-based advice.
